Here’s one you don’t see every day.
This 2012 Fender Modern Player Telecaster Bass was part of Fender’s made-in-China Modern Player series — an interesting run that took familiar Fender designs and pushed them in some slightly different directions.
This one pairs the classic Telecaster Bass shape with two big humbuckers, giving it plenty of output and a thick, powerful voice. Add the sunburst finish, black guard and maple neck, and it has a great late-’60s/early-’70s Fender vibe.
A little different, a little uncommon, and exactly the sort of bass we like having around here.
