This 1933 Gibson Century L has all the vibe you could want from a Depression-era acoustic — dark sunburst finish, oversized pearl-style fingerboard inlays, ladder-braced bark, and nearly a century of honest wear.
These old Gibsons don’t do “polite.”
They growl. They thump. They compress in that dry, woody way that makes every chord sound like an old record. Fingerpicked blues, old country, ragtime, folk — this thing lives there naturally.
The Century models were some of Gibson’s flashier acoustics of the era, but underneath the cosmetics is a seriously musical guitar with a huge personality all its own.
