This 1957 Silvertone H61 was built by Harmony during the golden age of Chicago-made archtops, and it’s got all the smoky late-night jazz club / garage-rock attitude you could want. Lightweight, resonant, and full of character, this one features the killer Gibson-made P13 pickup — one of the great under-the-radar pickups of the era. Clear, raw, warm, and just microphonic enough to make you want to turn up an old tube amp and let it howl a little.
The chunky neck feels fantastic, the fully hollow body is alive in your hands, and the worn sunburst finish has that perfect “earned every mile” look. These old Harmony-built Silvertones have become favorites with roots players, indie rockers, blues folks, and recording studios for good reason — they sound unique in a world full of cookie-cutter guitars.
