1969 Fender Telecaster Bass

$2,795.00

Big low end with a little bit of a complicated past — just how we like ’em.

This 1969 Fender Telecaster Bass has all the vibe: worn cream finish, maple neck, black guard, and that unmistakable late-’60s Fender thump. Somewhere along the line the original pickup setup was swapped out and the pickup cavity was routed for a mudbucker. The route was later filled very cleanly with epoxy and it now sports a newer Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickup along with a replacement pickguard.

It’s definitely player-grade territory, but it’s a killer sounding bass with tons of character and a super comfortable broken-in feel. The Antiquity pickup delivers huge vintage-style low end with plenty of clarity and punch — equally at home for old-school soul lines, garage rock grind, or fuzzy indie bass tones.

Not a museum piece. Absolutely a bass you’ll want to plug in loud.

Come check it out at Heyday Guitars in Winston-Salem.
