This 2003 G&L ASAT Classic S Special Run is one of those guitars that quietly checks every box — USA-made craftsmanship, classic Leo Fender DNA, incredible versatility, and collector appeal that keeps growing every year. Finished in a gorgeous 3-tone sunburst with that tortoise guard, this one looks like it just stepped out of 2003.
The ASAT Classic S blends the snap and punch of a traditional ASAT/T-style guitar with the added flexibility of a middle pickup, giving you everything from twang and chime to thick bluesy grind and glassy in-between tones. These Special Run models didn’t stick around long, and finding one this clean with the original hard case is getting tougher all the time.
